A day to hike...yea!

We finally had a free Saturday with good weather and got out for a little hike. It feels like it's been forever since we did. We decided to head up to Red Mountain Trail since it's close and it has been a while since we went there. It was fantastic. We took a few side trips to look off into Snow Canyon before we got up to the slick rock area. We hiked around on that looking at all the ponds that are there right now. Then we went to the top to eat our lunch and look into Snow Canyon. It was so pretty. After that we hiked up to a very tall Ponderosa pine tree and found it not as tall as we thought. Then it was time to head back. We had a good hike down and only saw two other people all day. As usual we got off the main trail somehow and wandered around heading toward the road and finally got back to our car. I'm always sure that Paul hasn't really got a clue where we are going and then we end up right where we are supposed to be! I have decided that I have no real sense of direction!
