May Special Events!

We went up and saw Noah in his lead role of Dauntless the Drab prince in his first time in the Middle School production of Once Upon a Mattress!  It was a very cute play and he did a great job!  We were very proud of him.  He was not too happy to have "everybody looking at him," but he still did his part very well.  It was a funny play and all of the kids did a great job. It was a fun evening and we enjoyed a great dinner at the Weaver's afterwards.  Noah was off enjoying his first cast party!  We got to hear Sarai sing some of her recital songs (beautiful) and Eden played viola and cello for us and we heard some of a school concert she played in. So proud of these kids for working hard and polishing their talents!

Another special event this month was going to see Tasia receive her Diamond T award at her high school's awards night ceremony.  It's a very BIG award for involvement in school activities.  She was very involved on the school's skill's USA team that Quiz Bowl team and they are headed the national's in Atlanta this summer.  She's the only girl on the team, but she's a smarty and they are glad to have her!  We also took her out to dinner for her high school graduation which, unfortunately, we will be out of town for.  It's while we are going to be gone for a month to Oregon.  Sad about missing the actual event.  Hope to get some pictures of it from someone.  In the fall she's headed off to BYU with a great scholarship she earned for herself.  She really is on smart young lady and we are so happy she's going to have this great opportunity to go to BYU with at least some of the costs covered.

Also this month Brynnli graduated with her Bachelor's degree of Computer Science.  She's worked hard on this and was so ready to be done!  She has a great job lined up at one of the places where she had an internship.  She's worked hard and made her way herself and been through a lot in the process as she went through a divorce.  She has a very supportive boyfriend that has really been there for her.  He came with her to Family Camp last year and we've met him a few other times.  His name is Ryan.  (picture - Ferf, Brynnli and Ryan in the back)  Brynnli has also been a great support to her mom as she has gone through a divorce as well.  She makes a good living and has been generous to her mom and siblings.

Another special even for May was that Madi, Jay and Brynn's oldest, earn a stem scholarship from the Jordan School District.  2 kids from each of the middle schools were chosen.  Pretty cool!  It's a 529 account in her name.  She can use it as soon as she graduates, up to 3 years after graduation for anything related to higher education:  tuition, books, fees, room, a computer, etc.!!!  Congratulations Madi!
