The last week has included some good and bad times. Last Saturday started out well (other than that I was sick in bed) with Paul, Bean and Grandma Kurtz heading to Cedar Mountain to enjoy the Fall colors. Things were going well when Grandma got a terrible headache...and it kept coming and going and then she got really confused and couldn't answer questions. Paul and Bean hurried her over to the little hospital in Panguitch (closest place) and she didn't know her name and a lot of other things she should have known. In the end they kept her over night and she was just fine, but it was a scary thing and she will be following up with her regular doctor.
On Wednesday evening Janet, Tony and my mom got into town on their way down to Aunt Georgia's 90th B-day party in California. We had the local family come over to the house to visit with Grandma and have pumpkin pie/brownies. It was a fun evening for her to get acquainted and reacquainted with grand kids and great grand kids. On Thursday evening we took her up to Cedar where we picked up Bean and had dinner with the Weavers and visited and then went over to the Randall's in Enoch for desert and visiting. It was a really nice evening.

Then we enjoyed conference on Saturday/Sunday! Such a spiritual feast. On of the twelve actually passed away Sunday afternoon, Robert D. Hales. Such a perfect time for him to move on to his next mission. After the last session on Sunday we took a drive up to Pine Valley to see if Fall has arrived there yet. It is just getting started. We took a lovely walk up the stream and enjoyed the changing maple leaves among the green of the pines. It was a really nice end to the day.
